It’s always good to see the legislature looking for ways to reform the criminal justice system in a way that doesn’t crease more penalties. Recently the Michigan House and Senate have passed bills (18 of them!) that will address things like license suspensions, pretrial incarceration, and mandatory minimum sentencing. This is definitely a good day for all Michiganders…not just potential criminal defendants and their attorneys.
